This past weekend, my close friend, Lillie, whom I have known since I was 12, came to New York City to spend time with me. You have read about her in this post when I shared her Schaumberg, IL comedy club called Laugh Out Loud.As a thank you gift for staying in my apartment, she bought us tickets to a NYC game called Accomplice. What an amazing way to spend 3 hours on a Saturday afternoon! It is part tour, part scavenger hunt, part game. Lillie (with duck lips) and I at one of the scavenger spots, a bar called Iron Horse in Chinatown. The day before the "game" you get a call from an actor pretending to be a mafia member telling you where to meet him. The next day at the "secret spot", you also meet the other 8-9 members of your group. The mafia man reveals the secret mission, gives you a set of clues that embark you on a scavenger hunt throughout NYC. Each clue leads to the next, with "mafia" encounters sprinkled in between, until your mission is complete.I highly recommend this as a way to spend an afternoon with out of town guests in NYC, LA or London. You can be accomplice to your guest's NYC experience.
