My cousin, Debbie, paid me a visit this past weekend to introduce her new beau. Since she is a foodie, I had to suggest a restaurant that was tasty and off the beaten path so that she could be impressed with my New York City savvy. It's a requirement that all us New Yorkers know the secret places to eat.

Korzo's fried burgerI picked KORZO HAUS in the East Village which is a Slovakian restaurant that makes everything on their menu, including the bread. And, they source all ingredients locally. We ate the KORZO burger, a fried local grass fed beef burger, with homemade locally grown cabbage coleslaw on the side.

Does this make you want to bite the screen? Here's a close up. There are homemade pickles, cheese and bacon melted inside the fried burger.Later that evening, perhaps it was the burger, I felt creatively inspired and created these new earrings:

Don Carlo Earrings with garnets and freshwater pearls.Doesn't food inspire you as well?
