Why does it matter what we wear for New Year's eve? It's not as if it will set the tone for the new year. Yet, we ladies care! I had my dress all picked out - something I had found at a local thrift/consignment shop. Naturally, I had my jewelry picked out. I am always stumped on hair. Up? Down? Hat?

Choice one: Do I go for safe, with hair down? Dress: Anna Sui sample from thrift shopShoes: RepettoNecklace: Tina Tang Blackened Silver Pearl NecklaceEarrings: Tina Tang Bubbles ChandeliersI tried my hair down, then up. Down seems conservative and typical. Up always feels sophisticated.

Choice two: Hair up and with leggings.I had to make the second choice different by throwing on some leggings. I thought about the walk home and how I am not going to be one of those crazy women walking with 3 inch peep toes in the winter.

Bubbles Chandeliers - so new they are not even on our tinatang.com website. And, I designed these earrings earlier in the day to wear out for the night. And, do you wonder why I wore black? Hell, I am a New Yorker! You never want to stand out too much in case the crazy guy on the street chooses to yell at you because you wore yellow.Guess which look I chose?
