Rachel's Tina Tang Adventure

tina tang

By: BobbieApril 16th, I had been looking forward to this day for 3 months…my sister Rachel was coming to visit from California and to celebrate my birthday. It had been over a year since she had last come to visit me in NYC, so I couldn’t wait to show her around. I especially couldn’t wait to take her to meet the Tina Tang crew. I have been working for Tina Tang, both at Tina Tang Studio and Gold Label, for over a year and my sister had not once stepped foot in the store. The only exposure she had to the lovely jewelry was the Releaf necklace that I bought her for her college graduation present, a white gold oval locket from Gold Label, the Peace, Love, Recycle Tote bag, and the stories I had told her about my wonderful coworkers. I guess you could say that I planted the seeds for what was about to happen.I couldn’t wait to have her try on all my favorite pieces (which of course she didn’t like, we have very different styles) and to see the ones that she liked. What I didn’t expect was how much she LOVED it and how much jewelry she went home with. Chloe and I gave her the whole Tina Tang experience and she was blown away. She looked around and then asked if she could see just about every necklace in the store. She left with at least 2 two necklaces, gold hoop earrings (which I could never convince her on gold before!) and at least 5 different things, from both stores, that she not so subtly hinted that I could get her as “gifts” for upcoming events. She also made sure I signed her up for the weekly email newsletter, which if you remember from the last blog I wrote, she can see the pictures of me and scope out what other jewelry is featured that she could order or buy the next time she is here. Here are Rachel’s recommendations (just a few out of the many):The Earth NecklaceDouble Spade Leaf Necklace And Gold Label's 14K White Gold Angel Wing Necklace
