I haven't been to Chicago in three years and I am thrilled to be going this weekend for my trunk show. I went to college in the windy city which holds many fond memories for me. This is what I will be doing this weekend....First, I need to laugh:With improv theatre, every show is different.Laugh Out Loud Improv Theater: Chicago is the home of improvisational comedy and this theatre in Schaumberg is where my high school friend, Lillie Frances, has opened up her beloved theatre. I have been watching her improv since we were in high school.Next and naturally, shopping. My favorite area is the Bucktown/Wicker Park Area. I just need to visit my two favorite stores:Photo courtesy of Facebook.com/TangerineonDamenTangerine at 1719 Damen Ave, always carries something I want to purchase. I know I could probably find the same designers in NYC, but it feels different buying it outside of New York.Courtesy of HelenYi.comHelen Yi, 1645 N. Damen Ave, carries aspirational items for me. Her point of view is so modern, clean, and timeless. Finally, food:Did you know that there is a large Korean population in Chicago? Lawrence Avenue houses a large Koreatown where I can always find a true home cooked style Korean meal.Photo courtesy of Medill.Northwestern.eduIf you live in Chicago, please stop by my trunk show this Saturday!
